Lately, everything around us seems flawed. Most days, I don't want to go online and see the barrage of pessimistic viewpoints we throw around like baseballs. We have all kinds of issues that matter to us, and we all want our voices to be heard. I get that.
But today, I hope we can all stop and take stock in the beauty of what we actually have in our lives. I hope that we can all agree one just one thing - that this life is beautiful and we are so very lucky.
We have so many basic things we take for granted on a daily basis. Just a few examples... electric, food to feed our children, doctors and medicine, clean water, shoes on our feet.
Honestly, when was the last time you were thankful you had a glass of clean water? We spend so much time complaining about what we don't have or think we "need." But really, we already have so much.
I'm thankful that I live in a country, where I have the freedom as a woman, to run my own business as well as raise and love my family. It's not always easy, but I'm grateful I get to have the opportunity.
We are so beyond blessed to live in a country with the freedom to love, and raise our families with readily available access to all of life's basic necessities. It wouldn't be possible without the civil servants who protect us, now and in the past. I'm so thankful for all they have done for us.
Take the time today to put your hot dog down, and look around at all you've been given.
And just be grateful for it.
Happy Fourth Everyone!
