Having the chance to get to know our couples is awesome. We get to know their sweet sides, cute sides and even their goofy sides. Sometimes, what you might think is going to be super silly – ends up being just that. But we're looking for that reaction AFTER that super silly moment. There's usually a burst of laughter, followed by an embrace and adorable smiles - that's the photograph we're after. Mike and Kim not only indulged us our goofiness - they fed right into it. We had a great time at Kim's parents house, using their gorgeous garden and pond on the property as the setting for their engagement session. Kim also grew up in this house, so it was neat to hear her reminisce a little bit. What a picturesque setting for their session. We talked wedding plans, and how crafty Kim has gotten with the wedding details. She showed us one of her handmade save the date cards, and I must say, they were nearly professionally done, and so cute!
And we can't forget Mike. We worked around his crazy softball schedule to fit this session in before the full swing of summer hits us. (haha, get it? full swing of summer?? ok, sorry, I promise not to quit my day job.) I can't blame him much, if I had the chance to play softball more than once a week, I'd probably take it too. And while he might look intimidating on the softball field, he was a big teddy bear during their session. Sorry Mike, I hope you don't lose any man points for me saying that!
We really enjoyed our night with them, and we think you will too. Enjoy!
Kim & Mike – you are both so much fun to be around, we can't wait to photograph your wedding day! We look forward to seeing all of the creative and crafty touches you bring to the day! All the best ~ Erin
