Laura & Kevin: Esperanza Mansion Wedding Photography

"There is a room in the Department of Mysteries that is kept locked at all times. It contains a force that is at once more wonderful and more terrible than death, than human intelligence, than the forces of nature."  - Albus Dumbledore

Love is the greatest magic of all. Laura and Kevin prove that every day. But on this day they shared that love with their closest family and friends. This was the second wedding this year where I had double duty, this time as the Matron of Honor and photographer. Hard work for sure, but it was worth it and so much fun!

Laura best described their wedding as "nerd-tastic."  From the Maurader's Map invitation, storybook paper flowers, a Game of Throne's recessional, sorting hat, and a lego cake topper - it was an amazing blend of their favorite things. Even their song choices were perfectly chosen to reflect who they are, and the things that tie them together. Esperanza Mansion was transformed into a storybook scene. There was no detail left untouched. It was beautiful, fun, and filled with twu luv.

I watched all year as Laura's "creative crazy" made sure that everything would be exactly as they hoped. She never crossed the line into Bridezilla mode, but I could tell the planning was giving her some rounds of anxiety.

However, as she stepped out the door as a bride for their first look, I could see the anxiety finally melt away. The pure happiness that these two bring each other took over.

I believe that the story unfolded exactly as it was supposed to for Laura and Kevin. I'm so honored to have been asked to play a role in their day, and am so very grateful to have them both as wonderful friends.

Laura, Kevin - I wish you love, laughter and adventure!

Always.

Their first dance song was performed by Man of Honor, Andy and beautiful Bridesmaid Elizabeth - with a little moral support from Miss Lucy.

Gotta love a father-daughter dance that starts out with a little crazy, head-banging dancing! :)
