Thanks to you fine folks, Lori and I recently got to go on a shopping spree. But we didn't stock up on shoes, clothes or jewelry. No, we had a different sort of mission. We went shopping for TOYS! Remember our latest round of mini sessions? Because of you, the proceeds from those sales enabled us to stock up on games, stuffed animals, books and other goodies for the local chapter of Toys for Tots.
To accomplish this mission we stopped in at The Toy Soldier in Fairport NY. It's a unique, and local toy store situated nicely on Church Street in an old 1895 Victorian era house. Shopping here was an experience, unlike what you'd feel if you went to Target. Each room of the house held a different style of toys - from infant to tween, there was something for everyone here. We'd like to give a big thank you to Amy, for allowing us access to your store with our camera in hand!
It felt good to not only give back to our community in more ways than one this year. Not only were we able to donate some great gifts to Toys for Tots, we also supported the Shop Local movement this Christmas.
We've been blessed with this life of ours. So for us, the old saying "it's better to give than receive" has never been more true. To those of you who were a part of this with us, thank you.
To all, we wish you the joys of love, friends and family today and everyday. Because these are the greatest gifts of all. Merry Christmas!
