It's been almost two years since we saw this whole family in action on a wedding day. Two years ago we photographed the wedding of Rachael's sister, Samantha (and husband Jay). So we couldn't wait to reconnect with the family, and to photograph Rachael, on the day she became Mrs. Joe Short. What an honor to be a part of another chapter in this family's story. The day began at home, where finishing touches on hair and makeup were all but done. Rachael looked truly stunning in her gown as she came down the stairs to meet up with her bridesmaids all dressed in pale pink dresses. Everyone looked so elegant and amazing!
Just as our previous wedding with them, the ceremony was held at Holy Cross Church. And while it was the same church, it was personalized perfectly to fit Joe and Rachael. After a few family portraits, we traveled on to the George Eastman House for some beautiful bridal party photographs among the Terrace Gardens. Between their attire, flowers and the gardens at the Eastman House, I loved how perfectly it all fit their vision.
On to the party at the Radisson. Decorated in elegant roses, and a pretty "keys to my heart" type theme, the ballroom was super gorgeous. And right from the start, we knew it was going to be a fun night! Starting with a surprise "icing" of the bridal party, followed by the traditional "wrapping up" of the bride and groom during their first dance, and right down to the tarantella dance. They really turned up the heat on the dance floor all night long!
We're so happy for Rachael and Joe, who in the end are perfectly fit together where they belong. Congratulations to "A New Pair of Shorts," we wish you nothing but the brightest and happiest of futures ahead!
Enjoy this peek into their day! ~Erin
