Matthew and Megan's wedding day was nothing short of amazing. They planned most of the wedding from Kansas, then from Pennsylvania, with help from family here in Rochester. Even though it was sometimes difficult to plan from long distance, it couldn't have come together more perfectly for them.
We arrived at the Colgate Divinity School as the final preparations were being put into place. Megan was dressing in the bride's room, and Matthew waited with the groomsmen for the ceremony to start. As Megan walked down the aisle, they looked at each other as if they'd been apart for months, not hours. There was so much love and joy on both of their faces.
I felt the love from their families throughout the day, but especially during the toasts. Emotions were overflowing in the room as many family members wanted to share and celebrate them. Nothing could stop the love being shared, not even a candle setting the blessing on fire - mid toast. We felt like part of the party all day, especially when a few of the guests asked us to a dance later on in the night. Thank you to those gentlemen for the dance!
From the ceremony to the dance floor, Megan and Matthew soaked in every minute of the day with love in their hearts - and if I may say, some stellar moves on the dance floor.
They're the kind of couple that make you want to be a better person - clearly loved by all who know them and that love shines through them everywhere they go.
Enjoy this little preview of their day! ~ Erin
There were a lot of great toasts, and candid moments to go along with them!
See that little hole in her speech? Yep...just a little "mid toast" fire, nothing to worry about here.
More toasts to the happy couple! I loved how so many people wanted to share their love for these two - they truly are wonderful!
We snuck outside for a few moments of alone time... love it.
Yes. That is a school bus which arrived to shuttle guests, and yes it was awesome.
Their wedding bands are so unique!
