Rachael and Joe: George Eastman House, Radisson Riverside Wedding Photography

It's been almost two years since we saw this whole family in action on a wedding day. Two years ago we photographed the wedding of Rachael's sister, Samantha (and husband Jay). So we couldn't wait to reconnect with the family, and to photograph Rachael, on the day she became Mrs. Joe Short. What an honor to be a part of another chapter in this family's story. The day began at home, where finishing touches on hair and makeup were all but done. Rachael looked truly stunning in her gown as she came down the stairs to meet up with her bridesmaids all dressed in pale pink dresses. Everyone looked so elegant and amazing!

Just as our previous wedding with them, the ceremony was held at Holy Cross Church. And while it was the same church, it was personalized perfectly to fit Joe and Rachael. After a few family portraits, we traveled on to the George Eastman House for some beautiful bridal party photographs among the Terrace Gardens. Between their attire, flowers and the gardens at the Eastman House, I loved how perfectly it all fit their vision.

On to the party at the Radisson. Decorated in elegant roses, and a pretty "keys to my heart" type theme, the ballroom was super gorgeous. And right from the start, we knew it was going to be a fun night! Starting with a surprise "icing" of the bridal party, followed by the traditional "wrapping up" of the bride and groom during their first dance, and right down to the tarantella dance. They really turned up the heat on the dance floor all night long!

We're so happy for Rachael and Joe, who in the end are perfectly fit together where they belong. Congratulations to "A New Pair of Shorts," we wish you nothing but the brightest and happiest of futures ahead!

Enjoy this peek into their day! ~Erin 2014-07-24_0001.jpg 2014-07-24_0002.jpg 2014-07-24_0003.jpg 2014-07-24_0004.jpg

Matt & Kim's Wedding Day: Avon Century Barn, Rochester NY Wedding Photography

2014-06-05_0014

When our journey with Kim and Matt began, we asked them what comes to mind when you hear the words "happy" or "fun." Their response was "Good food, good drinks, good company, being outdoors." We can safely say that all of those things were accomplished on their wedding day. No matter what the obstacle Kim and Matt chose to put their love first, and thus an amazing day came together.

When we started the day, the bridesmaids were already dressed and ready to go. As they first glimpsed Kim the excitement really began. Then it was off to the church, where everyone waited for the ceremony to begin.

With a stop for some fun bridal party photographs at the George Eastman House, we kept the day rolling towards the beautiful reception at the Avon Century Barn. I loved all of the cute details they'd set up. The pretty yellow centerpieces were complete with lemons in the vase. There was a cute kids station with candy and various activities for the kids and the cupcakes from Sugar Mountain Bake Shoppe were to die for. And the dance floor was kept hopping by the amazing as always, Joe from Q Music Productions.

The barn was filled with fun and love for couple who deserves nothing but the best that the future can hold. We've been truly blessed so far this wedding season. Our couples are truly amazing. Kim and Matt - you are no exception. We wish you both a lifetime of love and fun together. ~ Erin

wedding outtakes : rochester ny wedding photography

At a wedding, we capture all kinds of great moments. There are moments that make you cry - like when a father sees his little girl in her wedding dress for the first time. Or there’s a touching moment between a bride and groom. Some are serious, some are sweet. There’s proud smiles, and lots of laughter. Our photographs evoke all types of emotions. We photograph it ALL, even the down right silly moments. The ones that we can’t help but laugh about as we snap the shutter. They’re goofy, and completely hysterical. In a set of wedding photographs, we love when we see those funny moments. Some are natural moments, that occurred candidly throughout the day. Others happen when our couples and families just plain act goofy. We love when that happens, because it means you’re comfortable enough with us to be silly in front of our cameras.

Here’s a few of our lighter wedding moments from the past year - enjoy!  ~ Erin
