Mike & Keegan: Rochester NY Engagement Session

Their adventures together began at RIT over wine. Since then, many more of their adventures involve traveling together, even their engagement on the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland where Mike promised Keegan a lifetime of adventure.

In their relationship, they believe that she's the feet on the ground, and he's the head in the clouds. But their sense of adventure is what makes them who they are together. They've now been to 19 states and 3 countries together.

Their engagement session  at Cobbs Hill Reservoir was just another adventure for them (and us!) It included a little rain, a big love ball, and a whole lot of laughs.

They believe that if you can successfully travel with someone, through good and the bad, and make it out the other side still together - then you've found the one for you.

I couldn't agree more. Can't wait for the wedding day adventures!

Love, Family and Engagements: Henrietta NY Family Portraits

Tannie and Nya have been together for years, and next year they're going to make it official. But first, I visited them and the whole family at their home to capture a few portraits.

Part engagement session, part family portrait session we did a little of everything with the whole family. A few formals, and a few more relaxed images, it really was a great mixture of everything. We played football and hung out in the kitchen together as a family, and made the most of the time they get together. What a fun loving family!

Alyssa and Vince: Engagement Session in Pittsford NY

They met down the road at St. John Fisher College, but would come to Schoen Place in Pittsford to walk along the canal path together.

Then one day on vacation in California, Vince stopped the car along the ocean front to propose to Alyssa. Naturally, she said yes.

So a spring morning on the waterfront (albeit the canal, not the ocean) was the right choice for their engagement session.

When he looks at Alyssa, her expression glows. And the way he held her close to keep her warm on a chilly spring day....sigh, adorable. It's easy to see that these two fit perfectly, and that they belong together.

What a great morning spent capturing a great relationship!

Chelsea & Steve: Rochester NY Engagement Session

Five minutes into my first phone call with Chelsea, I knew we were perfect together. In talking about their upcoming wedding, she told me she wanted it to be relaxed and fun, with all of the people who were important to them surrounding them.

Yes, oh yes, that's exactly what we want too. Like I said, perfect.

But enough about me, since we're not the only ones who are perfect together. Chelsea and her fiance, Steve are clearly perfect for each other. They laugh together easily, and fit comfortably in each other's arms like puzzle pieces. Sigh.... yes, beautiful. Honestly, what more can you ask for at an engagement session?

Well, since you asked - you could have the perfect night, one without rain for a change. You could also have a great setting, such as Linear Park in Penfield. All of this came together for a picture perfect engagement session.

We didn't have to go far into the woods to create great images, and we did so until the sun started to set around us. What a great night! Enjoy! ~ Erin

Matt & Nicole's 1000 Islands Engagement Session

boldt castle engagement

To say that this was a fun engagement session, wouldn't do it justice. Once I got over the fact that I had to tell my brother-in-law to kiss his fiance that is... Matt & Nicole are planning their wedding for next 4th of July-- Nicole's favorite holiday. I'll be there, in a bridesmaids dress, trying not to get in the way. Since I won't be documenting that event, I'm glad I got to do this one! We went to Nicole's family camp up in the thousand islands region, a place the couple frequents in the summer months. We hit up Boldt Castle in Alexandria Bay our first day in town, avoiding the crowds of bikers that were also in town. We also got a nice sunset in at the docks by the camp.

Matt and Nicole rocked their session, and I have to say a special thank you for hosting us! We loved heading up to the river, and will go back anytime you want. :)

Nicole grew up spending her summers at their camp on the river. We were so glad to incorporate their view from the dock into the session, even their dogs, Winston and Jackie, got in on this one
