In Between: Cookie Decorating with our Portrait Membership

There were cookies, there was frosting, there were marshmallows and sprinkles. It was a sugary delight for all of the kids. And then the big guy in the bright red suit showed up.

My husband told me after the event, that he finally saw it. When I asked him what “it” was, he said “The magic of Christmas.”

Whoa. I didn’t see that coming.

He went on to tell me how he watched the kids’ faces when Santa popped in to say hello, and it was beautiful.

You guys - that right there is everything this program is all about.

See, while we were working to capture their faces, he was enjoying the moment. I imagine, without their camera phones in front of them for a change, our other parents were doing the same. They didn’t need to stress about getting the best picture, because we were there.

I’m so glad to be able to give this gift to our members all year long. Whether it’s the magic of Christmas, or a day at the beach, It’s an honor to capture their childhood.

Thank you to our families who give us this opportunity all year long. We hope you’ve enjoyed the moments and the memories made.

Happy Holidays,

Lori & Erin

Kim: Personal Brand Photography in Rochester NY

We’ve been photographing Kim’s high school seniors since 2014. After three of her high school seniors, I was excited when she told me she was in need of some new headshots for herself.

In talking with her I learned that her new website design included a sunflower element. So we wanted her new brand to feel natural. This took us to Cobbs Hill, where the green trees and architecture, and even a yellow bench helped us tie everything together.

If you’re in the market for hypnotherapy or to learn more about it - take a glance at Kim’s website at Entrancing Inspirations!

Spotlight on Wood Prints: Rochester NY Photographers

If you don't know it by now, we wholeheartedly believe in printing your pictures. We believe that prints outlast digital files, and become priceless heirlooms to future our generations.

We love adding new items to our ever growing catalog to display your memories. We have canvas, framed prints, metal for the modern artist and now we also offer wood prints.

They are for someone who prefers a natural look, as the image is printed directly on real maple wood. The grain from the wood comes through on the lighter areas which will give it a warm feel.

No two wood prints will ever be the same because of the nature of the maple wood printing process. So it's great for someone looking for something unique!

Tangible printed photographs, whether on your wall or in a book create a different feeling of happiness than of those left in a digital world. If you need help deciding what to do with your photographs, call us. We're always here to provide you with ideas, and give you the perfect piece to smile about.

Alaina - 6 Month Session at Home

Little Alaina is just full of smiles! It was such a pleasure to spend some time with her in front of the Christmas tree for her first Christmas and also, her six month photo session.

She may be young, but she was definitely ready to rip open some gifts! She also loved when her momma read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Alaina is a lucky girl with two awesome parents and a wonderful nana to spoil her. And oh my cuteness, she's definitely got her momma's hair, look at that!

I look forward to watching her growth continue! Until next time,
Lori

New Years Family Portraits: Rochester NY Photographers

Have I mentioned how much we LOVE seeing our wedding couples with their families? I mean seriously, so. much. fun.

I can't get over how much bigger these kids are from a year ago. They've grown into non-stop full on toddlers, and they made sure to let us know it at their session.

We followed them around letting them be themselves, occasionally trying to capture them as one big family. Slowing the kids down didn't appear to be an option, so we made some cute portraits for their New Years cards while they played.

Can't wait to see how cute they get as the next year goes by!

A Hero To Look Up To: Father's Day 2016

It's Father's Day - time for some golf and barbecues. Or for hikes and picnics. Or for Marvel Movies and popcorn. Your description might be different - but the sentiment is the same.

Today's the day, I pretend I'm going to cook for my husband (instead of our usual vice versa) - when really, I might buy the ingredients but I won't touch the grill. And we'll spend time with our own Father's, who we're so blessed to have in our lives.

And whether I cook or not, I hope my husband knows how grateful I am for him. For so many reasons, but least of all because he gives my son someone to look up to.

In between tickles and "airplane" rides, I see how he watches Daddy - wide eyed, wanting already to be big like him. I watch as he and Daddy bond over Star Wars books and Super Heroes. Even though he still looks nothing like Daddy, I know they're a perfect fit.

My son clearly doesn't live in a perfect world - this is obvious. So I'm grateful for his Daddy, who gives him a super hero to look up to, and who says "I love you" on a regular basis. Because that's the man I want my son to be in this world...just like his Daddy.

Happy Father's Day!
