Joshua: Churchville Chili High School, Volleyball Senior Portraits

It has been such a pleasure getting to know Joshua. We share a love of photography, so he appreciates what we do and how we do it. Besides that, he is a great kid with many interests and an easy going personality.

For his senior portrait session, we incorporated his love of volleyball with his enjoyment of the outdoors. We were also able to get in to the auditorium at Churchville Chili High School for some images with his clarinet, and had a few guest stars as well. Josh’s “nephew” is starting kindergarten this year, so it was special to have a photograph of the two of them together. And his girlfriend of three years, Maddy, was also not going to miss out on the fun.

Some rain clouds tried to ruin our night, but everyone stuck it out and we were able to get great images despite the clouds. Thanks Josh for being a fun subject and bringing all of your ideas to the session. Can’t wait to work with you again soon!

John: Gananda Senior Portraits at Chimney Bluffs

When I met John, we talked about what he is interested in and what he wants to do. He wants to go into law enforcement, is a three season athlete and also likes to hike and hunt. One of his favorite places in the area is Chimney Bluffs. If you haven't been, you should. You'll completely forget that you live in NYS when you see this beautiful area.

I could see him get more excited about his session the more he thought about going back there...

This session definitely had some adventure to it! There was some hiking to get to the best spots, and he had no problem changing outfits in the woods. The blowing wind down by the water disappeared as we climbed higher. It was a great way to spend a morning, and I enjoyed getting to know John and his mother more as we created fun senior portrait images.

Check them out, and John, have a great year! Thanks for bringing me along on the adventure.  :)

College Graduation & Family Photos at the University of Rochester

I love being on campus in the Spring; the college is beautified for graduation, and there is a buzz in the air.

Congratulations Stephanie, U of R class of 2017!

You may recognize her. Because two years ago we were at RIT celebrating her brother, Alex's graduation. Thanks for coming back guys! I absolutely loved spending time with you, catching up, and having fun on campus. Stephanie and Alex enjoyed being goofy together, mom gave her a lei to wear, and even Dan, her boyfriend, made his guest appearance.

But really, how fun is this? I think everyone should celebrate earning their degree with some fun portraits around the place that helped shape their future. Don't you agree?

Hats off to you Stephanie, hope to see you all again soon at the next milestone!

Cheers!

Shannon: Rush Henrietta Senior Photos, Part II

In Part 1 of Shannon's Senior session, I alluded to the story... well, now here is your chance to get the whole story. It's about three generations and their rainy day traditions. It involves splashing in puddles, and we caught it on film.

Our fusion films are something that make our sessions truly unique and special. This one is about three generations, while keeping the spotlight on Shannon- a senior at Rush Henrietta High School. If you watch, you'll also see some behind the scenes footage, and we added a little intro about why I love photographing seniors in the beginning.

Without further ado, meet Shannon, Kathy and Gail.

One last side note...

I still remember getting emotional when I was photographing Shannon and Gail together. It's a good thing I had the camera in front of my face, because as I clicked the shutter, I thought... man I wish I had an image like this with my grandma. And then my watery eyes brightened as I realized, I am so glad I can create these photos for Shannon. I know in my heart these are treasures, and I am so happy to make them come to life.
