Savannah: Fall themed Senior Portraits in Fairport, NY

Savannah loves all things fall… so we headed to Chase Farms for her senior portraits. The pumpkins and corn stalks were the perfect setting. It was a windy day, but Savannah took it all in stride! We made a couple other stops including this abandoned greenhouse down the street - which she rocked with that jacket.

We finished up at the Fairport High School track, where she has spent many hours. A double jump gets her pumped before each race, so we made it look like she could jump over the trees!

We laughed, took some great images, and we got photo bombed by a caterpillar… basically, it was everything you can hope for in a senior portrait session. :)

Thanks for the adventure, and enjoy the photos Savannah!

Shannon: Penfield High School Senior Portraits

Shannon is smart and sweet. She enjoys time with friends on adventures all around town and drawing. The crazy part, is that she and her siblings were some of my very first clients over 5 years ago. Now she's part of the Class of 2018, considering going into the field of nursing – and I'm totally aging myself.

We met up with her this month to create some amazing senior pictures for her. We had a lot of fun finding beautiful light and great locations at the George Eastman Museum.

As you can see, we had no trouble with either. It helps that Shannon's awesome smile lights up her portraits and everyone around her.

Thanks, Shannon for a great evening of portraits, and best wishes for a great senior year!

Class of 2017 in Review: Senior Portraits, Rochester NY

It's that time of year again when we look back on the past year and ponder what is to come. For this group of high school seniors, adventure awaits.

Whether it is studying chemical engineering, microbiology, photography, graphic design, ROTC, or undecided, the doors are open. I love hearing about your plans, or lack there of. I love that excitement that is bubbling with the unknown. The joy and fear in the parent's eyes. It is an exciting time, and you know it!

It is an honor to be your photographer, and I sincerely hope you keep in touch. Share your adventure, we are all rooting for you!

The Lori and Erin Photography Class of 2017*

*There are a few 2016'ers in here too... they chose to get photographed closer to graduation, not to meet yearbook deadlines, so I include them in this bunch. There's really no wrong time to get your portraits made, it's just as exciting any time of the year!

Jimmy: Rush Henrietta High School Senior Portrait

It's always a special honor to photograph siblings. It's also a fun challenge. We photographed Rebecca's senior portraits two years ago, so it was great to hear about what she is up to now.

But on to her younger brother Jimmy, who is now a senior. Both Rebecca and Jimmy are runners, so of course we wanted to make sure their two sessions were a little different.

Jimmy's favorite place to run is Mendon Ponds, so we spent a nice Fall afternoon there. He has such a natural, easy going smile. I also really love that red hair!

Enjoy, and good luck in your next race Jimmy!

Allison: Harley School Senior Photos

Allison recently walked across the stage to receive her diploma from the Harley School. But before she did, we created some portraits around campus and at the Public Market. Having practiced fencing for 7 years, it was a no brainer to include some shots in uniform! It was a windy day, but we enjoyed ourselves immensely and the photos came out fantastic. See for yourself!

Congratulations Allison!

Ashley & Family | SUNY Geneseo Graduation Portraits

From the first time I spoke with Ashley, I knew this was going to be a fun session. It absolutely lived up to expectation. It was everything you could ask for in a photo session: awesome people on a gorgeous night in a meaningful location.

After four years of studying Psychology at SUNY Geneseo, Ashley wanted to celebrate by creating photos around campus to remind her of the happy memories. Her boyfriend of two years and parents joined in too!

Check out the images below and you'll get an idea of how much fun we had. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, give us a call! We love celebrating life with you!

Ashley, I hope you have an amazing time in Europe, and I can't wait to see what you do when get back!

Cheers!

FAQ: Where should we go for my senior portrait session?

We are location based photographers. This means we shoot anywhere BUT inside a boring, stuffy studio. There's no laser light backgrounds in our lives!

Instead, we photograph our seniors in their favorite places and spaces. Do you love hanging out at the beach, or are you more at home on the ice? Or maybe you love shopping at the Rochester Public Market or cheering for the Red Wings!

Some of you may have a spot or two that fits your personality to the 'T', but others are not always sure. Maybe you know what you want the photos to feel like, but aren't sure where to find that look.

DON'T PANIC!  We've got you covered.

We have created a list of nearly 100 spots around the area that provide unique environments for your senior photos. Whether you want something urban (but safe), formal with columns, or a casual barn setting, we've got the spot. Fields, waterfalls, trails, piers, docks, flowers, you name it, we'll find it.

Still need help selecting the location for your shoot, come on in! This is one of the things we go over at your complimentary consultation. We'll get to know more about you, your interests and personality. We use that information to plan the perfect spots to visit for your senior photos.

So, what are you waiting for?  Click here to schedule your free consultation!

Fusion Video: Aleigha's High School Senior Session

We thought we'd share a little throwback today. To warmer times, a beautiful summer night when we created a fun fusion video for one of our awesome 2016 seniors.

Back in September we showed you some of Aleigha's Downtown Senior Session. If anyone could pull off an urban look, it was definitely Aleigha. What we didn't show you then, was this awesome fusion video. We combined video clips with her fabulous photographs to create her own highlight reel. It's a fun and unique experience for a senior session.

Check it out and leave Aleigha some love as she gets closer to graduating!

Class of 2016 in Review | Senior Photos in Rochester NY

Working with high school seniors is always a joy. For each session, we step into their shoes, explore their interests, hobbies, and personalities. We also learn about what they want for the future.

I love getting to know each student and highlight them in a way that makes them proud, and us proud.

To the class of 2016: you are unique. Cherish that, and embrace whatever comes next. We wish the best for you, and hope to see you again soon!

Blog Features for the Class of 2016:

Jack & Family: McQuaid Senior Portraits

Jack is a soon-to-be McQuaid graduate. He's a rower on the crew team and an all around good guy. We photographed his high school senior session at the Boat House at Genesee Valley Park. We hung around the docks, on the path and even went inside the boathouse for a few.

What made this session different, was the addition of his mom, dad, and sister into the photographs too. We took a little bit time to create some family portraits for them as well. Jack heads off to college soon, so this was the perfect day to have their family picture updated as well. As the sun went down on the river, the light was perfect for some great images.

Congratulations Jack, and thanks for a great waterfront session! ~ Lori & Erin

George | Senior Photos in Fairport, NY

George is a quiet boy who likes nature and water. For him, a walk along the boardwalk and canal was the perfect fit for his senior photos. He rocked that pink button down, and those eyes sure can tell a story! They don't come much sweeter than this. I really enjoyed photographing George.

Thanks for choosing Lori and Erin Photography, enjoy your senior year!

Best,

Lori

Erin - Midlakes Senior Photos

When Erin wrote to me about taking her senior photos, my first thought was, "No way, she can't be a senior!" After I got over the initial shock, I was so honored she asked me. She and her mom said they chose me after they saw the photos I took of my cousin's wedding, who happens to be their neighbor. She said the photos were so "them", and not contrived or forced. And that's what they wanted, to remember Erin as she is today.

Erin's father works in landscaping, so he selected the perfect house with lots of beautiful options for images. From the front door, to the shed, to the pond, we were not short on locations to choose from!  Erin's beautiful smile and adorable laugh kept the mood light and fun the whole time. Without further ado, here are a few of my favorites from her session. Enjoy!
