Ventosa Vineyards Wedding: Jesse and Kristen

From the start, working with Jesse and Kristen has been amazing. They’re the kind of couple that exudes genuine happiness together. It was refreshing to witness and capture their Finger Lakes wedding at Ventosa Vineyards.

Because of all of our work together in advance, everything had been perfectly planned. We felt relaxed and at ease all day which created a great atmosphere for their celebration. Their first look was just one of the highlights of the day for me. Jesse’s reaction to seeing Kristen for the first time was priceless.

I’ll let the pictures do the talking now, but congratulations Kristen and Jesse. Thank you for showing us your real selves and for allowing us to give these moments back to you in our photographs.

Ventosa Vineyards: Katie and Tyler's Fall Finger Lakes Wedding

Peanut butter and Jelly. Salt and Pepper. Chips and Salsa. There are some things that just naturally go together. Katie and Tyler are two of those things - their officiant told us all as much. They’re different, but a perfect fit together. We couldn’t agree more.

As our last Ventosa Vineyards wedding of the year, it was a little bittersweet, but the perfect ending to a fantastic year with their amazing team of great people.

With a fun loving bridal party and fantastic family, the cloudy, chilly day was filled with warmth. There were funny moments, lots of inside jokes, fantastic food and an amazing dance floor courtesy of Q Music Productions.

Katie and Tyler, we’re so grateful for you and your families. Thank you for welcoming us into your day with humor and love. Congratulations!

Seneca Lake Wedding Photography: Laura and Patrick

The heatwave that had been lingering lessened for one day, as we met the bridal party getting ready at the stunning Del Lago Hotel & Casino. It was a gorgeous start to another great Finger Lakes wedding day.

The groom and his guys were up for anything, even a quick trip into the Casino, while the bride and her ladies finished getting gorgeous.

And then, off to Ventosa Vineyards we went where it was the most perfect day for Laura and Pat to have all of their loved ones gather together to celebrate with them. It's such a beautiful and rare moment in life to have all of your favorite people in one place at one time.

I have so many memorable moments from their wedding day - from reading and writing their vows, their sweet first look, the cutest flower girl ever, some stellar dance moves and the feeling of love surrounding them.

And that SUNSET though...seriously, sailboats and everything! It was goooorgeous - just like Laura and Pat. Congratulations you two!

Ventosa Vineyards Wedding: Matt and Sarah

Matt proposed to Sarah on a weekend trip to visit her family here in New York. I think she knew it was coming, but wasn't expecting it that particular weekend, in front of the family she loved.

Then, in front of everyone they loved they said their vows and began their marriage. It was the perfect June day for a Finger Lakes wedding.

Getting ready in Sarah's hotel room felt peaceful from the minute we arrived. They laughed, ate and put the final touches on their makeup as if this was any other Saturday.

Their first look was priceless, Matt's reaction couldn't have been more perfect. And he gave her that same look of love as she walked down the aisle as the ceremony began.

They took it all in, every minute they could, with laugher and love felt emotions for all who came to celebrate with them.

And that sunset walk in the vineyards - yes, please!

Matt and Sarah - thank you for allowing us to share this time with you and congratulations again!

One Bride's Favorites: Finger Lakes NY Wedding

Today's post comes to us from Cailee, one of our amazing 2017 brides. Her spring wedding day at Ventosa Vineyards made our hearts so full. We asked if she would mind sharing some advice and a favorite moment of the day - and here's what she shared with us.

My favorite moment of the entire day was when James and I shared our “love” letters with each other (during the ceremony). It was such a personal moment for the two of us, and it felt like it was just the two of us standing on that vineyard, instead of in front of 175 people. Seeing the pictures of us both crying (him more so than I) brings back a flood of emotions.

I remember looking at him and thinking "This is the moment that I am going to want to carry with me forever – the one where he is speaking straight from the heart, in front of everyone we know, speaking his love and truth for me." It was the most profound moment, and one that was captured beautifully through your pictures.

My piece of advice for new brides/grooms would be the following:
I know EVERYONE says it, and I honestly didn’t believe it until after our wedding day but…the day ABSOLUTELY FLIES BY. You HAVE to take a few moments just the two of you to be able to really soak in the moments.

You will be pulled in twelve different directions, at all times by friends and family wanting to congratulate you (you might not even be able to eat!), listening intently to speeches, doing your first dance(s), cutting the cake, and then grooving all night long…but do not forget to take a few moments alone to step back and look at the beauty of that day. You both did an amazing job of that, specifically when you pulled us outside of our venue and had us dance in the dark. At first I was confused, thinking “Why are we doing this when we can be inside partying!”

But the second we had a moment alone, it was so nice to breathe, get some perspective, and remember why we were really “partying”… because of our love, and our marriage. It was such a sweet, almost serene moment, to be alone and think about the day, but more important cherish exactly where we were in that moment in time. And it was a chance t0 get excited about our honeymoon!

Thanks Cailee for reliving a little of your day with everyone! :)
