Wintergarden by Monroe's Wedding: Kate and Zack

When we arrived to the suite at Woodcliff Hotel & Spa in Victor NY, Kate and her bridesmaids were peacefully awaiting our arrival. They all looked flawless and were all ready to get the day underway. They shared a very memorable champagne toast to Kate and off we went.

It was only fitting that they said their vows at the campus where they first met. As the ceremony began at The Hermance Family Chapel at St. John Fisher College, the normally unwavering Zack held back a few tears as Kate walked down the aisle. The beauty of the light and the stained glass windows in the chapel made the wedding ceremony feel magical.

From the bridal party pictures at The Memorial Art Gallery to the fantastic Wintergarden by Monroe's reception the rest of the day flew by. Their happiness was felt and shared by everyone.

This Rochester NY wedding at the Wintergarden was as always beautiful - filled with amazing flower arrangements by Arenas on East Avenue and delectable cake and desserts by Gourmet Goodies. Classic Southern traditions topped the night off as The Swooners played song after song.

Kate and Zack - we couldn't be happier to have captured this moment in your lives.

We wish you a beautiful life of love and laughter always.

Wintergarden by Monroes: Rochester NY Heirloom Album

Joann and Steve's wedding at the Wintergarden by Monroes was nothing short of amazing.

Since then, I've been patiently waiting to design their heirloom wedding album. Finally, my chance arrived! And it came together perfectly.

Their wedding story, from the first look to end of the night dancing looks amazing as you turn the pages in this 12x9 lustre album.

There's something about this album that pulls our couples in. The design, the size and the story - it all works together to create something beautiful. Every single time.

Enjoy a peek at this wedding day story, told in the pages of Joann and Steve's heirloom album.

2017 Wedding Review: Finger Lakes NY Wedding Photographers

When your wedding season begins with a couple stopping for pizza and ends with a dozen adoptable dogs at a cocktail hour - you know you're doing something right.

Simply put, 2017 was an amazing year of weddings.

Here's just a few reasons why:

1) They were unique: Our first wedding of the season, and we're stopping for pizza. Cristin and Michaela also threw the most amazing reception at the Rochester Museum and Science center, including an epic bridal party dance off throw down.

2) Vineyards: Whether it was a sunset ceremony at Knapp Vineyards, or quiet time together at Casa Larga, Ventosa Vineyards or even Becker Farms. The grapes were a gorgeous, prominent part of many of our wedding images this year.

3 Sunsets: Because oh golden hour magic, how we love thee so.

4) Relaxed elegance: Our couples added so many fun, relaxed touches to their elegant wedding days and portraits. Like s'mores, campfires and hanging out with very friendly horses at The Wadsworth Homestead in Geneseo.

5) Cocktail hour on a boat? Why yes, please! Amanda and Vince's Lockport Locks boat cruise was one of the most unique ways to host cocktail hour that we've ever experienced.

6) New Venues: We were so lucky to capture weddings at some new places this year. The Wintergarden by Monroe's, Becker Farms, Shadow Lake, Statler City and so many more. From Rochester to the Finger Lakes to Buffalo - it felt like we were always experiencing somewhere new!

7) Puppies! Matt and Ellen killed it with hosting Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions during their cocktail hour at the Port of Rochester. Because who wouldn't want to play with puppies at a wedding?!

8) Playfulness: We loved that our couples were up for fun. You might think being silly can seem out of place at a wedding - but what better way is there to enjoy the day?

9) Realness: Above all the rest, what an honor to see real emotions, true friends, love and so much joy from our couples and their families. Soooo many genuine reactions in wedding day photographs. It reminds me of how much trust is put in us on such a beautifully important day. I mean, really when a groom cries, my heart melts.

Steve and Joann: Wintergarden by Monroe's Wedding

Something I know for sure, we honestly work with only the most amazing brides and grooms. Steve and Joann fit that description to a "T". In fact, their bridal party and their entire family was so sweet and loving all day. We are so grateful to have been part of it all.

We met up with them at their venue, The Wintergarden in downtown Rochester as they were getting ready for the day. Even as things started to run late (as they often do at any wedding), they were gracious and kind and wonderful through their nerves.

But as soon as they saw each other during their first look, all those nerves and worries disappeared completely - replaced by joy and tears of happiness. Joann and Steve were so beautiful together. They took those moments and held them tight - and allowed themselves to enjoy every second of their day.

And man, the opportunities for photography nearby and within The Wintergarden are plentiful. Gardens, rooftops, and wall art are all within walking distance of the venue - so much variety and beauty everywhere.

The celebration was so elegant, but yet included so many personal touches - whether in song, or the readings based off their favorite TV shows, or the sweets table that included desserts created by a close friend of the family (who also happens to own her own bakery).

Joann and Steve, it's an honor to know you both. We only wish you lived closer, so we could see more of you! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share in your day and your story. Congratulations!
