1) Show off Your Athletic Side in Senior Portraits

3) Show Some School Spirit: Wear your cap and gown in senior portraits

These are your senior graduation portraits - right?! Show us the ways you’re celebrating! Put on your cap and gown for a few of your portraits. Or show off your school spirit (high school or future college) with a school pennant or other fun prop!

4) Bring your Besties: Have a friend in your senior photos

We are ALL about adding a favorite person into your senior pictures. Who is that for you? Want to have your bestie since birth by your side? Your mom or dad? These relationships helped you become the amazing high school senior you are today.

5) Ride in Style: Show off your car in your high school senior pictures

You’re pretty proud of your car and want your senior pictures to reflect that. Whether you built it or bought it, they’re your senior pictures, and your ride is important to you.

6) All Dressed Up: Formal wear in senior pictures

Prom dress? Power suit? Yes. You spent forever picking out, why only wear it once? Bring your prom attire and let’s capture that glam in your senior pics.

7) Life’s a Stage / Or a Hobby: Share your hobbies in your senior portraits

Dancer or actor? Bring your ballet shoes and playbills to the stage. Love to read? Bring your favorite books. Build your own R/C vehicles? That counts. Planning a trip around the world? We can show that side of you too.

8) Four Legged Friends: Pets in senior pictures

Don’t forget Fido! Your lovable and loyal furry best friends are part of your world, and they should be part of your senior session too. Bring your pets to your senior pictures.

Bryce's Golf Senior Portraits at Cobblestone Creek Country Club

Bryce is a high school senior at McQuaid High School. He was eager to include his passion in his senior portraits. He is a fierce competitor with a golf course in his backyard, so it was an obvious answer to the question of “where should we take our senior pictures?”

We wandered the course for a mix of traditional senior portraits and also some unique action shots.

And how about that field of black eyed susans? Swoon!

Congratulations on your senior year at McQuaid, Bryce!

Victor NY Senior Portraits: Jacob, Class of 2021

This was my second time working with Jacob, and man did we have the perfect summer night for his senior portraits! He grew up on the golf course, but unlike his brother, Jeremy, Jacob prefers the pool. (See the last shot below for a watery background that complements his eyes!)

Just like with his brother’s senior session, we snuck in some family portraits as well. I love working with families over the years and recording the changes. I’m just sad there are no more kids to photograph in this one!

Congratulations Jacob, can’t wait to see what you do next!

Penfield High School Senior Portraits: Jordyn Class of 2021

Jordyn is the youngest of four siblings. When I began my photography career (an unmentioned number of years ago), her family was one of my very first clients. At the time, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

I had no idea that all these years later, I would photograph each one of their senior portraits as well. It’s humbling.

But enough about me, let’s share about Jordyn.

Jordyn wanted a flower filled scene for her senior pictures. Webster Arboretum gave us plenty of opportunity to make that happen.

When she laughs, her whole face lights up. She’s smart (pre-law anyone?) and kind, and believes that what’s meant to be will always find a way.

Jordyn - we wish you every success as you graduate as part of Penfield High School’s Class of 2021. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to capture this moment in your life.

Rochester NY Senior Pictures: Rochester Public Market, Skylar

After learning a little about Skylar, it wasn’t hard to discover the look she was after for her senior portraits in Rochester NY. The Rochester public market, gave us the scene, Skylar gave us the feeling.

As it should be, hers is a style that’s all her own. Senior pictures are meant to show that style off. Everything from the location, to the wardrobe and the expression all come together to show the world who you are at this important moment in your life.

The results are clear to see - real, personality filled senior pictures.

Churchville Senior Pictures, Class of 2020: Kristina's Senior Portraits

What a day we had with Kristina!

I drove through heavy downpours on the way to her Senior Portrait Session. Thankfully, right on cue, the clouds parted and sun came out!

While we didn’t see any rainbows, we did get to play with puddles and reflections and we were rewarded with some great light. We created a variety of senior pictures around Spencerport and Highland Park in downtown Rochester.

Kristina was so fun to work with and very relaxed. She was care free, just as she had hoped her senior portraits would be.

Check out a few of our favorites below, and wish Kristina the best as she graduates!

Cheers, Lori

Congratulations Class of 2019: Rochester NY High School Senior Portraits

First, I want to wish the Class of 2019 happiness and success. Second, I want to say thank you! Thank you for sharing your smiles, your stories and your laughter with us.

It has been our pleasure to get to know each of you over the last year, and to document your personality, style, and interests.

This year, we worked with dancers, golfers, baseball and volleyball players. We also worked with musicians, animal lovers, and even some with political ambitions. We visited parks, beaches, schools and farms. We played in the flowers, the rain and even in Rochester City Hall.

Yes, it was a fun year and one for the record books. Thank you to each high school senior and their family for taking us along on the ride! If you want to relive it with us, you can find blog recaps for each student below.

Please join me in congratulating the Rochester NY Area Class of 2019!

Mercy High School Senior Portraits: Emma Kate

Emma Kate’s senior portrait session took place in two parts.

First, we had a bright windy day in the sunflowers where we laughed and laughed. Part two took place almost two months later so we could include her dad. They certainly have a special bond, because they were still smiling throughout the cold, rainy day. Love it!!

Pittsford Dairy was a great backdrop for this session, and we enjoyed warming up with hot chocolate after!

Thank you for trusting me in the rain, and rocking your senior photos Emma Kate! It has been such a pleasure photographing you. Good luck with the rest of your year at Mercy, and see you again soon!

Marion High School Senior Portraits: Brooke

This is our second time photographing Brooke, but her one and only High School Senior Portrait session. When she’s not swimming or taking her own photos, she’s getting ready to study graphic design in her college adventures.

She is a country girl at heart who loves to swim and take her own photos. So we spent our time together in a natural setting, chasing the sunset light at the Webster Arboretum.

It was a gorgeous August night, perfect for catching Brooke’s smiling eyes. Here’s to you Brooke, enjoy the year ahead!

Penfield High School Senior & Family Pictures: Sean

Part family session, part senior session, all fun! What's better than hanging out in your backyard with your sisters and parents?

For his senior portraits, Sean wanted to keep it simple. He selected his favorite shirt, his favorite tree, and a beautiful summer night. I loved creating images for this gang of easy going people for them to cherish as Sean heads into his senior year at Penfield High School and beyond.

Say hello to Sean and family!

Pittsford Mendon Senior Portraits: Hudson

It was one of those days with a summer storm moving through. I had my fingers crossed that the clouds would stick around, but not the rain. We were in luck. The timing worked out perfectly and who doesn't love the reflection you get in a puddle?

We got exactly what we needed to make Hudson's senior portraits epic, both at his Pittsford Mendon High School, and the Rochester Public Market. Then we capped it off with some downtown Rochester, rooftop pictures at dusk.

Looking for something different? Perhaps, some night shots for your senior pictures? Look no further, we've got you covered.

For now, enjoy Hudson's Rochester senior portrait session: baseball, graffiti and city skylines!

Rochester NY Senior Portraits: Christopher in the City

Christopher is the kind of person with a plan. Currently a member of DECA, he plans to study marketing at RIT and eventually get into politics. He'll start local, but hopes to work up to senator or maybe even a cabinet position someday. I love his ambition and easy going nature. And also, look at that perfect smile!

Rochester City Hall set the perfect background for his session. The marble columns, the flag, and he looked so comfortable in that board room. We also headed outside to enjoy the architecture of the city, and ended up over at the Memorial Art Gallery.

Christopher definitely projects a strong, confident personality, and you'll see that in his senior portraits. Best of luck, Christopher, in all your endeavors!

Cheers,
Lori

PS: Stick around, his twin sister Elizabeth is next up on the blog!
