We’re Lori & Erin
We’re Rochester and Fairport NY family, senior, and brand photographers who believe photography should be about more than just pretty pictures.
Just two easygoing, ice cream–loving, flip-flop–wearing best friends who just happen to be a photography team.
Who we are, what we believe in, and what we love:
-
Relationships
The people you love are everything. Family, friends, even the furry ones. Photography lets us help you celebrate and hold onto the relationships that shape your life through meaningful family pictures in Rochester.
-
Belonging
Our work is rooted in respect, warmth, and creating a space where you can show up fully as yourself. We believe everyone deserves to be seen and celebrated exactly as they are. All families. All stories. All identities.
-
Friendship
We’ve worked side by side since 2009 for one reason. We’re friends first, and over time that friendship has become sisterhood. We work naturally together, and that rhythm helps sessions feel relaxed and easy.
-
Family
We’re shaped by the people who raised us, love us, and walk through life with us. What we create today becomes part of your family’s legacy tomorrow, honoring where you’ve been and the story you’re still writing.
-
Giving Back
We’re grateful for the work we get to do and the people who trust us with their stories. Whenever we can, we give back to the communities that make it possible.
-
Creativity
We love chasing images that feel true, from family and senior sessions to our personal brand photography in Rochester. Your photos aren’t about how you look physically. They’re about who you are and the people you love most.

I plan and shoot most (but not all) of the portrait sessions. I love meeting with clients, coming up with the perfect game plan, executing it, and even designing the album afterward. I’m also usually the one responding to your emails and thinking big picture business stuff.
-
I’m an environmentalist and I am outside as much as possible. Whether it’s pushing my kids on the swing, feeding the chickens, putzing in the garden, or hiking in the woods.
I read about 50 books a year, love board games and hearing my kids laugh. I am an amateur travel hacker, writer and maple syrup maker.
Needless to say, I am never bored.

It started with my grandma… she took photos of every birthday cake at every party she ever went to (on a disposable camera).
My mom took it to the next level and continued documenting our family life and that of the community.
I’m the first one to take it pro, and learned the art and tech of professional photography at RIT.

Working with Erin feels easy because of the level of trust we’ve built over the years. She’s seen me on my worst days and hasn’t run away, and I think that says a lot about the strength of our partnership.
Over time we’ve created systems that work for us, but we’re also flexible and able to shift as life changes and different seasons come along. I know she always has my back and she makes my work look better.
Erin is great at keeping me focused. She has a knack for knowing which of my ideas are worth pursuing and then helping bring them to life. She’s also incredibly patient with me when I repeat myself or ask the same question more than once. Honestly, life—and work—would be a lot less fun without her.

Getting to know people. I have met so many unique people from all walks of life because of the camera in my hands. From high level executives looking for professional headshot photography in Fairport to homeschooling moms to creative teens and so many more. I love learning about my clients and telling their stories.
I also love the challenge that comes with each job. Making sure the location, light and props fit the goals of the session while also making you look good and keeping it fun!

My house is very loud. I have two small children: a son who never stops talking and a daughter who never stops moving.
We have pets that don’t like to be pet: a dog named Mouse and several chickens.
Somehow my husband puts up with us and keeps us all fed.

Think of me as the wizard behind the curtain - you won't always see me, but I'm keeping the train on the track.
I handle most of the behind-the-scenes work: social media, blogging, editing, and making sure the boring-but-important stuff like bills and taxes are taken care of.
-
The theater is basically my second home, where I'm that mom cheering the loudest from the audience. If I'm not at opening night, you'll find me crafting (results may vary), reading a good book, or hosting a campfire or game night with friends.

Growing up in a big, close family, along with earning my degree in Digital Media and Fine Arts from Canisius College, shaped how I see connection and light. That perspective carries into everything we photograph, from families to senior pictures in Rochester.

Lori is the dreamer. She’s the one who comes up with the big ideas, thinks outside the box and sees possibilities where others may not. I tend to be more practical, so put us together and we balance each other in ways that are hard to fully explain but easy to feel.
When I’m in my own way, she moves the path so I can find it. When things get heavy, she’s a steady presence. That balance isn’t something we planned - it just kind of “is.”
In a lot of ways, we've grown up together, navigating hard seasons and celebrating the good ones. Knowing that our relationship matters more than anything else (including this business) is the foundation everything else is built on.

Would you believe that my favorite part of being a professional photographer has nothing to do with a camera?
My favorite thing is when I run into a client out in the real world and they remember me. It could be from a month ago or ten years ago - it doesn’t matter. It tells me I made an impression on their lives, that the photographs we created together still carry meaning.
To me there is nothing better than being part of a moment that stays with someone.
That feeling never gets old.

My little family of 3 is my life - my husband, my son, our cat Leia, and our dog Rey. I grew up in a big, loud family where 50 people at Thanksgiving was totally normal, and it gave me a deep appreciation for the stories that bring us all together.
