Family Photography in Fairport NY | Capturing Portraits Before College
Some family portrait sessions remind me just how quickly time goes by, and this one in Fairport was a big one.
This family of four was one of the very first families we photographed back in 2009. At that point, I was still figuring things out as a photographer, but they trusted me with their memories. Coming back together all these years later, at such an important moment, really brought things full circle.
Their oldest daughter was just about to head off to college, and mom wanted updated family portraits before their life changed.
Together we created images that reflect who they are right now. Sessions like these are a reminder that family portraits aren’t just for when kids are little. They matter just as much in the teen and senior years, especially before someone heads off to college.
Looking back at that first session in 2009 and seeing how both this family and my photography have grown makes us grateful. These family photos mark a milestone, and we know they’ll be treasured for years to come.
