Lucas P turns two

If I didn't have the pictures, I might not have noticed as easily. I'd never have fully seen the transition - how he went from a baby to a little boy.

He's shed his baby belly and those chubby baby legs. He began walking and talking. He began showing us his silly personality. He began adventuring independently. He began saying "I love you".

And just like that I have a two year old. And while I do show you mostly the good stuff, not every minute of toddlerhood is magical. But his hugs and sloppy kisses usually outweigh the toddler tantrums. I swear, his full belly laugh makes me stop whatever mundane task I'm doing nearly every time.

I don't want to miss this. I love watching him learn. And after last year's non-stop 365 project, I've been making more of an effort to be present. I want to be present in the photographs as well as in his world. So this year, I may have fewer photos, but greater memories.

Happy 2nd Birthday Lucas P.

Love,
Momma
