Senior Portraits at Sonnenberg Gardens & Eastman Theatre

Grace describes herself as relaxed, classy, simple, original, and fun. I'd have to add sweet, talented and humble. We began her session at Sonnenburg Gardens in Canandaigua and finished at the Eastman Theatre in downtown Rochester. Although we could have spent all day exploring the gardens of Sonnenburg, Grace plans to study music education, so getting some time at the theatre just had to happen with her senior session!

Grace just rocked that red dress at Eastman Theatre. I loved listening to her play while passers by complimented her! It was truly a fun and gorgeous evening with a great girl.

Congratulations to the Class of 2015! Rochester NY High School Senior Portraits

Let us be among the many to wish all of this year's graduating high school seniors a great, big  "CONGRATULATIONS!"

You're on your way to amazing things now! And whether college or career, we want to wish you all the best. We hope you always bet on yourself, and enjoy all that life has to offer you going forward.

McQuaid Senior Pictures | Rochester NY Senior Photography

John plays third base for the McQuaid Varsity team, loves his Mustang GT and is now officially done with high school! We met up at Ontario Park after he had just finished taking a final exam. It was a bit windy, but lucky John has short hair, and it didn't matter! :) 

The brick backdrop was fun to work around, and John's blue shirt just popped wonderfully against it. And then we switched up outfits and hit the beach. The light blue, button down shirt and the beach setting was the perfect combo.

We even got Samantha, John's sister in a few images to make sure we captured their relationship as siblings before he heads off to college. It was a fun afternoon and I'm thrilled with the results. Congratulations John, and have fun at Florida Gulf Coast University! 

Rush Henrietta Senior Portraits: Rebecca

Rebecca is a cross-country runner. We met up for her portraits at Genesee Valley Park just a day or two before a big race there. It was a cool location as it is somewhere she frequents for competition, but there is also a wide variety of backdrops without having to go very far. We used a bridge, the Roundhouse Gazebo, a pavilion and just open space as well. Rebecca was a true star; look at that gorgeous long hair! Jealous! It was a pleasure photographing you Rebecca, enjoy the rest of your year!

High School Senior Athletes in Senior Pictures | Rochester NY Senior Photographers

No matter your passion, we love including it! Last year, we had the privilege of photographing many high school athletes from a variety of schools and sports. Whether it was Track, Soccer, Hockey, Golf, Swimming, Softball, Volleyball, Fishing, Skiing, Snowboarding, Crew or Kickboxing-- we got it all! It was so much fun getting on the ice, in the pool and on the river. We had some action shots on the soccer field, and (at the time) wished for snow for skiers and snow boarders. We tossed around a softball, took some swings at golf and volleyball, and I learned a few new kick boxing moves! All in a days work.

Seniors Pictures with Pets | Rochester NY Senior Photographs

Senior year is a pivotal time in life, and we try to capture the personality of our seniors in this moment. What are they into, and what do they love? For many, it's a no brainer to include their furry family in these portraits. You never forget your first pet. Or your second, or third, or any of them. Our pets are our family, and we love them like family. As a dog lover myself, I love incorporating pets into sessions whenever possible. Here are a few students from the Class of 2015 who did just that!

School of the Arts Senior Portraits: Emma

When we try to think of a location that is meaningful to the senior and great for photography, sometimes it takes a few tries. Luckily, this wasn't the case for Emma! She knew right where she wanted to go – the Neighborhood of the Arts. We met at the Flatiron Building, where her dad currently works, worked our way down the street past where her mom used to work, and then took photos outside of their old house. It was great to be where their relationship as a family all began. I loved hearing about their history in this neighborhood as we wandered around. And Emma was up for anything, which always makes things fun! I love this area of Rochester and definitely hope to shoot there again. Thanks for such a fun time Emma, enjoy the rest of your year!

Penfield Senior Portraits: Katie

I'm not sure how we got so lucky last year, but we have had the opportunity to work with some pretty amazing seniors. Katie was no exception - she just shined inside and out. We enjoyed a gorgeous summer night at the Penfield Town Hall, which is such a fun place to shoot. With flowers, brick and paint peeling off of wood, the backgrounds vary without distracting from this stunning young woman.Katie, it was truly a pleasure getting to know you! Best wishes in your upcoming adventures!

Melissa and Mossy (the Horse) | Penfield Senior Photos

You may have met Melissa last week as part of Jamie's senior session. Now it's her turn to shine! We started with Melissa at the Sunken Gardens, and then finished up at the stables with her horse Mossy. Melissa's relationship with Mossy, is something we felt was important to capture in her senior portraits. Mossy was a little wild, but we had fun working with him in the barn and in the grassy areas. I love the moment with the two of them in the tall grass just looking at each other.

It was a pleasure working with both of them :)

Penfield High School Senior Photos: Asher

I'd like you to meet Asher! This was a fun, two-location session that really got to show the personality of this high school senior. Asher is into golf, hiking and loves cars. We started with some nice shots around the Penfield Town Hall incorporating a few different outfits and moods. Then we went to Linear Park for some active and nature shots. A friend of the family lent his car to us for the session, and I could see Asher dreaming about owning one someday. I love all of the different looks we were able to get in just a short span of time. Thanks for handing out with me Asher, I hope your senior year is a memorable one!

Greece Athena Senior Pictures at Linear Park

We think that if you have a great model like Sam, the setting can be anywhere. However, we knew that Sam wanted a natural setting with water nearby. So we met up with her at Linear Park in Penfield to create her senior portraits. We had a great time creating these fun images! She works hard on the stage crew at Greece Athena High school, so we included some of her playbills from her shows to personalize the session further. Sam was such a great model and up for anything! What a fun session, check 'em out!
