Family Pictures at Lollypop Farm: Flynn & Clara

These kids... they are something else.

Flynn doesn't sit still for a second. At 18 months that's really no surprise. And Clara? Well she is a sweetheart with an attitude. I had the pleasure of sharing one of my favorite places with them, Lollypop Farm.

We checked out the animals and hit up the playground next door for a non-stop morning of fun.

Does anything beat the smile of a toddler? Not in my opinion, especially not this toddler. Love you both more than words can say!

Victor High Senior Portraits: Josh

Josh is the middle child of an amazing family. I have been lucky to get to know them over the last few years. His brother Matt's senior photo already hangs in their office, so I felt a tiny bit of pressure going into this session to make something equally as awesome.

Well, Josh brought his A-game, and we found some amazing nooks and crannies at Center Park that fit him perfectly. Being by the water brought back memories of frog catching days of yesteryear – he almost had one this time too!

And I just love the way those orange pants stick out against the greenery. We also had a few quiet moments in the woods, and I had a lot of fun playing with reflections in the water.

All in all, I'd call this session a success and I can't wait for Ally's (their youngest) turn in front of the lens!

My Favorite Family Portrait: Allegany State Park

My Favorite Family Portrait: Allegany State Park

Yet I have one of my favorite family portraits. It's not posed perfectly. My son is taking off his shoes (one of his favorite activities these days). And we certainly didn't coordinate our clothes that morning. Heck, half of us were lucky we'd even showered. Makeup? Forget it.

I don't care, I still love the results.

Tim: Penfield Wrestling & Football High School Senior Pictures

If you are looking for Tim, you'll either find him on the wrestling mat, the football field, or hanging out by the bridge with his friends.

As it turns out, the bridge in Ellison Park where he spends his time is also an awesome spot for senior portraits! Between that and the Penfield High School Stadium, we had 2 perfect backdrops. Tim's older sisters were in town, so they joined in the fun too.

This session was everything I hope for in a senior portrait session, great people, fun times and awesome results. See for yourself, and call for your session before it's too late!

Victor NY Family Portraits in Cobblestone Neighborhood

Family portraits in the front yard? Sure! The cobblestone on their home made a wonderful background and everyone was a joy to work with. Especially Tucker! Such a sweet golden doodle. Of course, you know me - I am a sucker for adorable dogs. :)

There's a possibility that you may recognize mom in this family, as Jamie is a well known realtor in Rochester. She has a great eye for home design and is always up on all the latest trends. I would definitely consider giving her a call if you are in the market for a new home!

Want to be the next family seen here on our blog? Give us a shout and we can make it happen!

Family Photos on Lake Ontario

Summer is when families come together.

Well, we think anytime is a great time for a family to come together - but meeting at the family lake house also means there's time for cousins to have fun.

Oh and hey, while we're at it – it also makes the perfect opportunity for extended family photos! These kiddos were ready for fun and enjoyed hanging out with their grandparents, aunts and cousins. The morning rain made way for a lovely afternoon, and as soon as the last photo was taken, there was a mad dash toward the lake for a swim.

But really, could these kids get any cuter? Meet Hannah, Emi, Theo and family. Say hello!

Family Portraits at Home by Fairport NY Photographers

I first met Lily around her first birthday, and I remember her being shy as could be. Two years later, she is an outgoing big sister full of spunk and energy! It was my pleasure to spend time with this amazing family in their home to celebrate Lucas's first year. We hung out on the porch a bit, then let the kids have fun in the play room.

It is these unplanned sessions that really let the photojournalist in me come alive. Capturing real expressions while the kids play. Waiting for the right moment and the right light to come together. And it is amazing when it does.

Say hi to Lily, Lucas and family!

Maternity Session at Genesee Valley Park

It's been a little warm lately. Which for a soon to be momma, can be hard to handle. But not Megan!

When we set out at Genesee Valley Park to photograph their maternity session, she was a champ. But more than that, she's absolutely beautiful!

And with her husband, Ian, along side her it made the night even more lovely. Whenever they looked at each other, or that beautiful baby bump you could see the smiles in their eyes.

You could also see excitement, nervousness and love all wrapped up together in what the future has in store for the two of them as parents. It's a journey to be sure, but they have each other - and I know they're going to make amazing parents! Enjoy this little glimpse!

Victor NY Family Portraits

These kids are growing up in front of my camera, and way too darn fast. I have so many amazing memories over the years of watching them grow.

But I only get to update their family portrait once a year. So we visited a park near their home - where we watched turtles in the pond and pretended to be Batman.

I'm enjoying each and every chance I get to be around them. Because they're silly, smart, caring, and so much fun. I'm lucky that they're my family, so I get to see them more than once a year.

I look at them now and see how much they've grown over the years. It's amazing to see that in their portraits and realize that this adventure started seven years ago. I love spending time with them and being a part of their lives in this important way.

Webster NY Newborn Session: Lifestyle Newborn Family Pictures

This little munchkin is the newest member of our membership program. She's less than a month old, but already has her parents wrapped around her sweet little fingers. It's amazing how fast those first few weeks of life go.

While we were at their home in Webster, NY for their newborn session she was perfectly content but not necessarily ready to sleep the afternoon away. So, we took advantage of as many of the sleepy moments that we could but also let her be alert and awake when she wanted.

And since it was clear, she didn't want to sleep we also took time to just let her cuddle in their arms where she felt most warm, safe and loved.

In the end, isn't that where we all really want to be?
