Victor High School Senior Pictures: Garrett, Class of 2024

Garrett is the third sibling in his family to have senior pictures taken by us. First there was Abby in 2019 and then Mallory in 2021.

Garrett is a Class of 2024 grad, and a basketball player at Victor High School. Naturally, we got on the court and let him show us his some of skills.

After that, we headed over to Schoen Place in Pittsford, just like we did with both Abby and Mallory.

Parents of high school seniors, this is actually a great tip, if you have multiple graduating seniors! Pick a common location. You may love having the consistency of the look in all of your kids senior pictures, especially when you’re putting these portraits on the walls at home!

Victor NY Senior Pictures: Class of 2024 Graduate, Christopher

You met his brother Ben as a Class of 2022 Victor High School Graduate.

Now meet his brother Chris - a 2024 graduate!

We visited the same portrait location with Chris, as we did for Ben at Mertensia Park. This time however, it was summer rather than fall.

Rosie, their 10 year old pup had a cameo appearance. But as with Ben, baseball was the focus of these Victor NY senior pictures.

As the golden hour sun set behind him, we put Chris through pitching and hitting practice.

And the results? For a high school senior that initially seemed to not be interested, Chris ended up absolutely crushing his senior pictures.

Fall Family Portraits at Wickham Farms: Fairport NY Photographers

When families come back to us time and time again for their family pictures, it makes our hearts happy.

With this family, we’ve done it all. Wedding, Newborn, Holiday - you name it, we’ve captured their family pictures in many, many ways.

This time around, we took their family photos in Fairport, right before Halloween. So we took advantage of a gorgeous fall evening and went to Wickham Farms together. There, we photographed them in their adorable Halloween costumes, in the pumpkins and then had some time for candid family pictures, while they played.

This kid’s smile is contagious, amirght?

Mendon Ponds Park was the perfect late fall setting for this crew’s latest extended family portrait session.

There’s a benefit to hiring the same photographer year after year for your family pictures. We’ve been photographing their family pictures for awhile now, so they knew exactly what to expect from us. Vice versa, we also knew exactly what to expect from them.

We know what phrases are going to make the kids (and adults) laugh. We know whether or not they’ll willing go in for a big group hug. We know when to let the kids just run around for a few minutes.

The whole process of family pictures ends up being smoother, faster and way less stressful for everyone involved.

Fall Candid Mini Sessions: Family Pictures in Rochester NY

There were three opportunities for families to update their family pictures last fall. Our Tinker Park Family Sessions, a Halloween costume party at Chase Farms, and a late fall family mini session day at Abraham Lincoln Park.

Honeoye Family Pictures: Fairport NY Photographers

Their annual fall family pictures took place around the time this kiddo turned 7. It began as soon as he got off the bus from school, with the dog waiting for them to walk up the long driveway.

Their family portrait session is full of candid, lifestyle family photography blended with posed portraits. It’s often a fast paced family session, which is so common with family pictures that include active kids!

There’s usually running, playing, jumping and leaf throwing involved. When they play, we photograph their big laughing smiles. At the end of the portrait session we’ll have added 2000 more steps to our fitbit.

These 3 (plus fur babies) are always worth every extra step.

Voice Therapist Brand Photography in Fairport NY

When I first met Caroline, I learned that she was a Voice Therapist in the beginning stages of beginning her own private practice.

We photographed her branding photography in Fairport, NY at a local co-working studio, in order to give her both an “on-location” approach, and a also brand photography that feels like a professional office.

She wasn’t 100% ready to launch her website yet, but she had every single bit of research and much of her brand planned out. She knew what she wanted to offer her clients, who her ideal client was and exactly what types of branding images she’d need to bring her vision to reality.

I’ll be honest, it was refreshing. There are times when we have to dig deep with a branding client to learn what there branding photography needs are. But not Caroline.

She had it all planned out, so that when it came to her personal branding photography, she was ready to go. And the results speak for themselves. We can’t wait to see how these headshots and branding portraits get used in the near future!

Apple Picking Mini Sessions in Rochester NY

What is it about apple picking that makes for such fun candid mini session pictures? These family portrait sessions are always our most popular of the year.

Is it the fun of grabbing an apple and munching on it right there in the orchard? Is it the kids running up and down the paths? Is it the excitement when Mom or Dad lifts a child up to get the apple that’s all the way up on top of the tree?

We’ll never know for sure, but these families made the most of their apple snacks AND their family pictures.

Mendon NY Family Pictures: Fairport NY Photographers

A fall family portrait session with the perfect blend of candid photography and posed portraits doesn’t exi…

Oh wait, just kidding. These family pictures in Mendon nailed it.

All of the necessary elements were there:

• A gorgeous day.

• Adorable, smiley kids, and their parents too.

• A swing set to climb on.

• A leaf pile ready for throwing.

• Chickens.

If that doesn’t sum up these family pictures, I just don’t know what does.

Eastman Museum Family Pictures: Rochester NY Photographers

We know we’ve said it before, but it’s worth mentioning again. We LIVE for Spring.

Now that there’s a grandchild in the mix, this family was ready to come together and update their family picture. Eastman Museum was the perfect setting for this family portrait session.

The daffodils and flowering trees, alongside the architecture of the mansion created a beautiful backdrop for a wall worthy family portrait.

The garden and the buildings also gave their newly minted one year old easy spaces to climb and explore.

Personal Branding Portraits in Fairport NY: Rochester NY Photographers

A lot of times, when people think of branding portraits, they think of cute coffee shops and sipping coffee at a computer.

But branding photography for a window treatment company doesn’t fit that mold. Peggy came to us with an amazingly detailed list of photographs for branding her business.

They included everything from sewing machines to ladders. Each member of her team was photographed doing what they do best, and then we made some fun group portraits as well.

We had so much fun with them, and can’t wait to see their pictures all over their Instagram account in the near future.

Family Pictures with Grandparents: Fairport NY Photographers

The primary mission for this set of family pictures in Honeoye was to capture grandchild and grandparents together. In just the first few minutes of the family portrait session, the mission was achieved.

One of the perks of getting to know your family photographer, is that your kids also get to know them.

And vice versa! Over time, us photographers get to know your kids too! We know what’s going to make your child laugh, or if your child is shy for the first 15 minutes, or if the only thing that ever works to get smiles is fart noises.

So the fact that we had what we needed, and then just had time to play was not surprising to either parents or photographer.

After pictures with grandparents were done, there was time to show off some new trophies and hobbies, like lacrosse. Asking a silly 7 year old to give his fiercest lacrosse face resulted in a really fun portrait. One that maybe someday will get compared alongside a high school senior picture. We hope to take it when the time comes!
