Senior Portraits at Linear Park of a Lifeguard
Carlton’s Brighton High School Senior Pictures
Senior portraits don’t always go as planned and sometimes, that’s exactly what makes them special.
Carlton, a Class of 2026 senior from Brighton High School, describes himself as relaxed, active, outdoorsy, approachable, and colorful. All of that came through in his session. We wanted to capture his easygoing personality and love of the outdoors, so we headed to the water for part of his senior session in his lifeguard uniform.
That’s when things took a fun turn. His mom joined in at the water’s edge, and what started as a little splash turned into a full-on water fight. By the end, everyone was laughing and we ended up with some of the most genuine, joy-filled senior portraits of the day.
Outside of the water, Carlton’s creativity shines through. He’s a talented singer and cellist, and he’s spent years swimming, so the mix of music and movement is a big part of who he is. His senior portraits reflect all of that - his balance of calm and energy, art and athletics, fun and focus.
It was the perfect reminder that senior pictures don’t have to be completely posed or serious to be meaningful. Sometimes the best images come from letting life unfold as it is.
