Beach Mini Sessions in Rochester NY: Fairport NY Photographers

Family pictures at the beach should always be this perfect.

Though for about an hour before them, it was pourinnnnng. We nervously watched the radar and hoped that we wouldn’t have to reschedule this candid mini session. Thankfully, the skies cleared and the light ended up being absolutely perfect.

We played on the boardwalk, in the sand, in the water and at Abbotts with this group of families. When it was all over, we were damp from going in the lake, full of sand and had full bellies from ice cream. But these family pictures were worth every grain of sand.

The pictures below were from our 2022 Candid Mini Session at the beach. This summer’s are happening in August! Want to join us?

Brighton NY Senior Pictures: Christopher, Class of 2023

Meet Christopher. Last Fall, we took his senior pictures at Fellows Road Park in Fairport.

He’s got amazing eyes, and an even more amazing personality. Having had some prior experience with having his portrait taken for theatre programs, his senior portrait session was a breeze.

It was also a lot of fun! When he graduates, he wants to go to Forestry school, so we incorporated the parks many pine trees and fall colors. He also plays on a local ultimate frisbee team, so we included that in his senior pictures as well.

But possibly my favorite part of Christopher’s senior pictures included his cat. But he didn’t want just a sweet portrait snuggling his cat. He wanted to wear a suit and tie, and imitate Dr. Evil, from the Austin Powers movies. So we did just that, and then added even more fun to the senior portrait session when he took the cat on a ride on the playground swings.

Why not, right?! It’s ok to have a little fun and add your personality to your senior pictures! In fact, we encourage it!

Brighton NY Senior Pictures: Alex, Class of 2023

He’s the captain of the Brighton High School football team. He loves golfing, lifting weights and hanging with his friends.

Meet Alex, a Class of 2023 high school senior. We’ve worked with his family before, taking his brother Jake’s senior pictures in 2021.

Where Jake wanted wanted to take his senior pictures at Schoen Place in Pittsford, Alex wanted to start his senior portraits in the city at Cobbs Hill. What was the same for both of them, were senior portraits in Brighton, on the football field.

It was wonderful to see this amazing family again, and create another great set of senior pictures for Alex. Congrats to this Class of 2023 grad!

Brighton High School Senior Photos: Katie, Class of 2020

Our goal for every senior portrait session is to reflect back to our seniors who they are. Every single session is unique in its own way, because every single high school senior is unique in their own way.

It was a dream and absolute pleasure to photograph a fellow purple haired friend. We created senior pictures that made her feel like her real self. We hit up Schoen place in order to show off her snowboard, her skateboard and even her pug socks and car. Each element she shared with us showed us a little bit more about who she is at heart.

The results were playful and thoughtful, frankly - they were perfection.

Brighton High School Senior Portraits: Christine

She's been playing for years, and you can tell. The notes and songs just came from her fingers without the need for sheet music. I felt like I was getting my own personal concert while I photographed Christine, and I didn't want it to stop! She is so incredibly talented, and plans to continue studying music next year.

We met at her house on a gray fall day, but that smile was enough to light up the photographs. Thanks for a very fun and easy going session Christine! We hope you're having a great senior year!

Brighton High School Senior Photos: Jake

We had lots of possible locations to choose from for Jake's session, but ultimately, Genesee Valley Park  was the clear winner. Surrounded by the waters he frequently rowed as part of the Brighton Crew team, he was right at home.

Oh, and there is that really cool fallen tree that we just had to include! Jake  was up for anything, and the result is some great images! Check them out for yourself.

Another beautiful fall day spent doing what I love. We are so lucky to live in a place with beauty in every season!

Til next time,

Lori

Maplewood Rose Garden, Cobbs Hill Senior Session

Maddy - seriously with that smile? And those eyes? She's so perfectly adorable and sweet. She describes herself as "Funny, sarcastic, preppy, kind and bubbly." What a great description!

She's super involved too. She's a Varsity Volleyball Captain, Vice President of her Student Council, on the Student Senate, a Camp Counselor and a Youth Ambassador.

Maddy is also willing to go with the flow, which made photographing her senior portraits a breeze. When it started raining, she was willing to play in the rain under an umbrella.

We ended up with a great variety of images - everything from playing in the flowers to singing in the rain. We even got some athletic shots in her volleyball uniform.

Thanks Maddy for a great morning session! Go Brighton Volleyball! ~ Lori & Erin
